Athletic Business & Motionsoft Launch Gym Class: Heroes of Fitness Podcast

Rockville, MD (PRWEB) September 05, 2013

Athletic Business magazine and member relationship software provider Motionsoft have teamed up to launch Gym Glass: Heroes of Fitness, a weekly podcast featuring unscripted interviews with the pioneers and innovators behind the best-known names in the fitness world.

The show, hosted by Motionsofts Hossein Noshirvani and Leigh Kessler, celebrates the spirit behind ABs iClubs Conference held November 20-22 in San Diego. Each episode reveals the stories behind how these independent thinkers helped grow their companies into industry-wide fame.

Our goal was to create something that would inspire, educate, and entertain people who want to be innovators in this industry and the Gym Class podcast idea nailed it, said Peter Brown, President of Athletic Business Media and the iClubs Conference. Whether its Ron Hemelgarn talking about his first job fixing equipment, Colin Irving on trying to bicycle in Vermont winters, Chris Clawson on chasing a professional baseball career, or Paul Byrne on the first time he ever saw the elliptical machine, you understand that these products and brands often werent just light bulb ideas, but rather evolved over of a lifetime of experiences.

The hosts, who produce Motionsofts weekly blog, The Circuit, and webinar series The Business of our Business, draw on chemistry developed over a twenty-year friendship going back to college. Noshirvani co-founded Motionsoft with his brother in 2004, and brought in his best friend Kessler, a former stand-up comedian and TV personality, to help rebrand the company in 2010.

This was an idea we had about three years ago before our blog, before our webinars. We wanted to put together a book about the pioneers in this industry but told in their own words, said Noshirvani. Then as we started doing our webinars and spending time on the phone with guys like Chris Clawson and Art Curtis, laughing as they told stories about their careers both the good ones and the shameful ones we realized this would be an incredible podcast. We mentioned the idea to Peter Brown and he immediately said Were doing it.

The first four episodes will be available for download through the iClubs Conference website ( and on iTunes beginning September 5. New episodes will be released every week on the iClubs website.
