$48,000 Funding Goal to Bring Product to Market and Help Save Lives (July 17, 2014)

GERMANTOWN, Md., July 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Silent Beacon Inc., an innovator in personal protection, announced its $48,000 Indiegogo crowd funding campaign to bring its wearable lifesaving device to consumers. Designed to provide immediate aid to those in need, the Bluetooth device allows users to instantly locate, track and communicate with loved ones who require emergency assistance.

The Silent Beacon is a wearable, waterproof, rechargeable, Bluetooth device that connects to Smartphones and allows for real-time GPS alerts that are delivered to loved ones and medical personnel in an emergency.

The Silent Beacon will sell for $59.99, making it the most affordable device of its kind. The devices which have a pending patent application are being presold through and their campaign.

Kelley developed Silent Beacon after being involved in a car accident, which rendered his phone screen useless and made it impossible for him to contact family members. At that moment, he realized how desperately people needed a fast and more reliable method to get help in emergencies.

The Silent Beacon will be indispensable for people of all ages: victims of violent attacks, people with life-threatening medical conditions, and teens who are more likely to be involved in fatal collisions than other age groups.

The Indiegogo campaign is intended to generate support for a product whose purpose is to protect community members and enable people to buy it at a low cost.
