New Rick Otton Podcast Offers Practical Advice To Property Investors(June 11, 2014)
(PRWEB) June 11, 2014
In a unique double feature Creative Real Estate podcast, property investment mentor Rick Otton has shared a range of tips and strategies that he has developed over many years of successful and innovative property investing. A highlight of the podcast was his chat with one of his students, Dina.
I often find that when people begin using the approaches that I outline in my books, or after attending one of my seminars, they get caught up in the moment when it starts to work for them. I guess its human nature that the excitement of the moment carries them away a bit, and they start freestyling by moving away from my strategy, he went on to observe.
Thats why my chat with Dina was so great. Her experience showed that its natural to start trying to tweak the strategy that I teach when it starts to work for you, but that ultimately, it pays to stay true to a proven method, Mr Otton said after the interview.
And of course, the other big lesson from Dinas experience, is to make sure you deal with both halves of a couple when it comes to something as important as buying a house! laughed Mr Otton.
Strategies For Working With Real Estate Agents
Continuing the theme, the second half of the podcast went on to focus on another party to real estate transactions the real estate agents.
After dealing with literally hundreds of real estate agents over the years, you begin to understand the profession and the mindset a little better, Mr Otton explained.
The benefit of my experience is that I can offer the property investors using my strategy a shortcut by suggesting some creative strategies when dealing with real estate agents, so that everyone walks away from the deal happy, he went on to say.
In the information-rich podcast, Mr Otton also covered his experience with private lenders and the benefits and rates of return that investors should expect from such parties.
Private lenders are an interesting feature of the property investment market, but they arent as well understood as, say, the banks or building societies. Because of this I thought it was important to cover them in this podcast too, Mr Otton said after wrapping up the recording.
Mr Otton signed off the podcast with a guiding note to investors who took the time to listen to his podcast.
Its important to realise that achieving success in the property market isnt about one silver bullet strategy, but rather a series of building blocks that you have to get right to achieve the results you are seeking. Getting those details right is the focus of this podcast.
