The School of Internet Marketing Instructor Reviews Google Helpouts

Jersey City, New Jersey (PRWEB) February 28, 2014

Jonathan Goodman, president of Halyard Consulting and professor at The School of Internet Marketing, gave a review of Google Helpouts on his weekly podcast. Google Helpouts is a new area from Google currently being tested in beta. It is designed to provide people access with experts in various fields.

Goodman signed up to be an expert on Google Helpouts. Part of the process is for Google to review an application to make sure the expert is qualified on the topic. Once the expert receives approval, they can begin creating their Helpouts. They have the option to create free and paid sessions. Goodman chose to create two free sessions.

In his review of the project, Goodman touched on several issues. The process is cumbersome and confusing at several points. He also spoke about the issue with pricing. Since the highest rates didn't go far above $1 per minute, many top experts will not be interested in getting involved.

"I think that at the ground floor of where Helpouts is right now, it could be interesting. It's unique." Jonathan Goodman

Goodman expects Google Helpouts to stay in beta for a long time, but it may have potential if the kinks get worked out. This could become a viable way of linking people up with experts for one-to-one advice and for those experts to connect with potential customers. It could be a win-win situation in the future.
