New Podcast Highlights Opinions of Industry Leaders in On-Campus Housing

Birmingham, Alabama (PRWEB) January 27, 2014

Capstone On-Campus Management has released a new podcast highlighting an on-campus housing leaders panel discussion during the inaugural Interface Student Housing Conference in November 2013, in Orlando Florida. The panel discussion, entitled The State of On-Campus Housing: Utilizing Student Housing for Recruiting, Retention and Enrollment Management, brought together leaders from higher education as well as the student housing industry, to discuss a variety of topics relating to on-campus housing programs including: finance, architectural design, trends, renovations and technology.

Moderated by Doug Brown, president of Capstone On-Campus Management, the panelists were: Norb Dunkel (University of Florida), Carl Dieso (University of Cincinnati), John Eckman (University of Pennsylvania), and Marc Robillard (Boston University).

The Interface panel discussion podcast is available under the Resources tab of the Capstone On-Campus website (http://www.capstoneoncampus.com), as well as on the Student Housing Matters blog (http://www.studenthousingmatters.com). You can also subscribe to the podcast in iTunes.

Providing this Interface panel podcast is an example of our focus on offering free resources to anyone interested in strong on-campus housing programs," says Alton Irwin, Chief Marketing Officer. This podcast adds to resources already available on our website on topics such as the cost of retention, third party management models, as well as a link to the IPEDS Data Center. In addition, we are putting the finishing touches on a housing calculator application tool, which will soon be available. The housing calculator is a simple but powerful tool to take the mystery out of determining the number of student housing beds a campus needs at any given point in the future. Were excited about its potential to help simplify the housing planning process.
