Celebrity Business Analyst Reviews List of Top Ten Lowest Paid Actresses

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 09, 2013

Celebrity Business Analyst released its analysis of a list of the top ten lowest paid currently working actresses. The list, found on May 30 in The Richest, was a complement to a similar one that named lowest paid male actors. The list of actresses varies in popularity and experience, including both veteran actresses and those whose names are fairly new to the marquees.

One would think the popularity of a few of these actresses would put them at the top of the pay scale, but there are other factors at play, said an editor for Celebrity Business Analyst. The editor stated that the decision of whether an actress is underpaid is based on salary as compared to the total gross of the movie. Angelina Jolie, for example, made the list even though she is typically paid more than $20 million for each film she makes. Jolie tends to be more popular with international audiences, said the editor. Her 2010 movie The Tourist only made $67 million in the U.S., but it totaled $210 million internationally.

Tina Fey is another name Celebrity Business Analyst was a bit surprised to see. At $10 million a year, shes certainly not struggling by any means, said CBAs editor, but when you take into account all the jobs she does, things look a little different. Fey is known for being a multitasker, taking on the roles of actress, producer, writer, and director, which makes her extremely valuable in Hollywood and widely viewed on dish network internet and tv. Though she is involved in all aspects of the industry, her salary reflects only one job, qualifying her for the list of lowest paid actresses.

The list also contained names of actresses whose brands are currently skyrocketing. Celebrity Business Analyst predicts that Jennifer Lawrence is a name that wont be seen in this category next year, but for now, she is among the lowest paid. The young Oscar winning actress made only $500,000 for The Hunger Games, a film which made over $680 million. It is said that she will make $10 million for the movies sequel. Her success in The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook has certainly grabbed the film industrys attention. Celebrity Business Analyst thinks her name will be among the highest paid in the future.

Celebrity Business Analyst released its review of the lowest paid actresses in Hollywood and examined a few of the reasons why certain names are on the list. The site concluded that the actresses made the list based on their pay in comparison with the success of their movies and the multiple jobs they perform in the industry.
