Miami Bayside Foundation Announces Partnership with SCORE Miami

The Miami Bayside Foundation has announced that it will renew its partnership with the Miami-Dade chapter of SCORE, the premier resource for small business advice and mentoring in the United States, for the third year.

In addition to the loan program it administers for minority businesses in the City of Miami and the creation of scholarship endowments for minorities studying entrepreneurship, the Miami Bayside Foundation provides valuable business tools and resources through partnerships with local community organizations engaged in economic development. The partnership with SCORE Miami allows minority business owners recommended by the Miami Bayside Foundation access to all of SCOREs services free of charge.

SCORE Miami matches business owners with more than 75 working and retired executives who donate their time and expertise as mentors. They offer confidential small business counseling to help start and build your business.

Specifically, the partnership will offer qualified candidates workshops offering specialized training, online courses and podcasts on various topics, and one-on-one business counseling with experts in a variety of fields all free of charge.

In the last two years, the Miami Bayside Foundation, through the partnership with SCORE Miami, has provided mentoring to more than 40 businesses in the City of Miami and workshops and seminars to more than 60.

The Miami Bayside Foundation is a nonprofit organization designed to advance economic development in the City of Miami through the support of minority businesses and education. The Miami Bayside Foundation seeks to do this through the creation and administration of a loan program for minority businesses, through the creation of programs and educational scholarships for minorities, and by providing technical assistance to local organizations engaged in economic development.
