Cornerstone Church of San Francisco Announces Expanded Easter Service Schedule

San Francisco, California (PRWEB) March 10, 2013

Cornerstone Church of San Francisco, known for its unique blend of traditional, non-denominational teaching with innovative use of music and the arts, is expanding its weekly service schedule for Easter. The service schedule will be extended at Cornerstones Mission Campus and two services will be held at the Lake Merced Campus for those who are seeking a more traditional Easter service experience.

For 20 years, Cornerstone has created original theatrical, video and music presentations, with the annual Easter production as the main event. This years production, Roads to the Cross, marks a return to the traditional, historical account of the life of Jesus Christ. The production will examine the decisions He faced throughout His ministry and the decisions His followers Peter and Judas made in response. The production also includes an original script and songs that will take the audience on a journey through the lives of these three very different individuals.

As the years have passed, Cornerstone and its Easter plays have achieved a degree of notoriety and the church has seen increased attendance each year for the presentation. As the audience has grown, more Easter services have been added to accommodate everyone. This Easters presentation continues Cornerstones tradition of presenting the Gospel in a relevant fashion via the arts.

Cornerstone has increasingly employed Christian music, art, video and live drama to convey the message of Jesus Christ to San Francisco. Its Mission District location currently hosts four services each weekend: Saturday evenings at 7:00 and Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30, as well as noon. The Lake Merced Campus, located at 825 Brotherhood Way, hosts a weekly service at 11 a.m. Sunday mornings. For this years expanded Easter schedule, Cornerstone will present Roads to the Cross at its Mission Campus at 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 29; 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30; and, 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 31. The Lake Merced Campus will also hold Easter Sunday services at 9 and 11 a.m. on March 31.

In addition to its two campuses, Cornerstone Church also maintains a web presence via its website, Facebook, Twitter and a weekly podcast. These provide additional points of access for members of the community, as well as people looking for a new church home or people who are curious about Christianity and church in general. In addition to providing information, the website also hosts an archive of past messages and video/drama presentations.
