Volkswagen has announced that drivers can now place their orders for the seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf. Eager motorists who are keen to get their hands on the popular Golf model can expect deliveries from 7th January 2013.

The fantastic new Golf range from Volkswagen is available in three trim levels, the S, SE and GT. The Golf GTI will feature BlueMotion technology and join the 2013 line-up.

The car manufacturer claims that the new Golf is lighter, safer, more advanced, spacious and efficient than previous generations.

All models come with seven airbags, including a drivers knee bag for safety. They also feature a Stop/Start system as standard along with battery regeneration.

Drivers who might want an early Christmas present can order the vehicle now, with arrivals coming in the New Year. Anyone looking to buy a new car might want to review their car finance options.

The entry level golf will set motorists back £16,285 and a cheap car loan could help drivers raise the cash.

The range features 1.2 litre four cylinder and 1.4 litre petrol engines, as well as two diesel engines on the launch of the 1.6 and 2.0 litre engines.

In addition to a wide choice of power, motorists can also choose from both three or five door models and a five or six speed manual gearbox.

The entry-level model features the Composition Media system which includes a 5.8-inch colour touchscreen, DAB radio as well as CD player and interface connections for either iPods or MP3 players.

The hi-tech range also boasts Bluetooth telephone preparation, audio streaming and eight individual speakers. The SE features the standard ADC Automatic Distance Control with Front Assist and City Emergency Braking. The GT model comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and front fog lights.
