Mumpreneurs Online Announces: Ways To Escape The Mind Noise - Revealed by Fiona Lewis and Dale Elliot
(September 06, 2012)Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) September 06, 2012
People of the 21st century suffer from a great disease, and its not cancer. Its the constant tiredness and stress they feel, from the moment they get up until the moment they get back to bed. Some cant even have a restful sleep and stay awake all night long thinking about their problems.
Researchers have shown in psychology that by monitoring very sensitive brain waves we can actually pick up these waves before they become a thought. They originate somewhere in our mind and they travel to our awareness until they become thoughts. From where they originate? Its something that science hasnt even worked out yet and its really quite amazing. Many researchers have focused in on the absurdity of this.
Fiona Lewis and Dale Elliot have united in a new podcast featured on Mumpreneurs Online where they try to explain this lack of sleep and to find the root of this constant stream of stress people are receiving.
Dale Elliot has been studying this situation for a while and he called it the mind noise. The entire concept revolves around the idea that people have to be present and that they do not have to let themselves be taken away by thoughts that are not related to the present. The mind noise is a constant flux of thinking which still goes on even if people generally have well defined goals in their minds.
This happens particularly because of the hectic lives people are compelled to live. Ms Lewis offers as an example the impact of todays media on peoples lives: The amount of marketing messages that are reaching our brains on a daily basis compared to 5,10,20,30 years ago and the many thousands of marketing messages that are now being shoved into our brains and even complicating that mind noise even further, she says, its no wonder that so many of us are walking around feeling stressed and distracted and finding it difficult to be present in whatever were meant to be doing.
Fiona Lewis suggests some techniques which can be used in order to avoid being disturbed by the mind noise released by our brains and Dale further develops on these ideas. Ms Lewis and Mr Dale work together in order to provide listeners with solutions that work and that have been proven to work because Ms Lewis tried Dales techniques for herself and she is now passing the information to her three children.
"The small things that youve shared with me have not only helped me in my relationships with my children (Im finding that Im not losing it as much, Im keeping calm or Im able to communicate better with them and theyre responding to that too), but the other side of that is because Im now more present in what Im doing in my work Im a lot more productive and Im not being as easily distracted. Now Im very aware that I need to stay present with the task at hand and because of that Im getting through so much more. Im sure that the implications go even broader than that as well.
What hes going to share with you today is a little bit about what he shared with me that day we met., days Ms Lewis. It revolves around the concept of being present. Ive applied it not only to my business life but it has also had an incredible impact on how I am as a mother.
