Year in Review: Information Builders' 2016 Highlights
NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Information Builders, a leader in business intelligence (BI) and analytics, data integrity, and integration solutions, is primed for a successful 2017 based upon the achievements of the past year. The company continues to focus on making trusted data and analytics accessible to wider audiences, claiming some of the industry's largest BI and analytics deployments worldwide via its WebFOCUS platform.
Information Builders is also helping its customers move beyond dashboards and data visualization tools to information applications, or InfoApps. These InfoApps unlock more value by virtue of being aligned operationally with decision-makers and performance goals. On the data management side, the company has strengthened its big data portfolio recognizing the potential of operationalizing Internet of Things (IoT) data and packaged its data management solutions for easier consumption to drive process and analytics improvements enterprise-wide.
Information Builders unveiled multiple product enhancements throughout 2016, including offering WebFOCUS in three editions Enterprise Edition, Application Edition, and Business User Edition (BUE) to meet all business needs. With the launch of WebFOCUS BUE, Information Builders is empowering business users to extract new and impactful value from their data without depending on IT or BI developers for assistance. Information Builders also strengthened its predictive analytics capabilities in 2016, enabling customers to spot patterns and trends in their data and make more informed decisions as a result.
Additional product highlights include:
- In-Document Analytics, portable, interactive analytical documents that package a data set with a combination of analytical views for self-service BI without requiring a server connection
- iWay Big Data Integrator, providing a native approach to Hadoop-based data integration and management to advance big data initiatives
- The introduction of natural language capabilities into WebFOCUS to increase the value and accessibility of analytics
